Vegas has had an amazing season and shocked the hockey world, but I think the end is drawing near. My best guess is that the Knights pull out one last win for the home crowd, but the Caps come home and win the series in 6.

the no-name bend but don't break defense has broken. Secondary scoring has all but dried up. All the little bounces aren't going their way. What used to be clean handles are now bouncing over the blade. So many times in this series I've been watching with my son and even he's seeing these little plays that were going their way, clean passes are being fumbled, sticks in lanes are missing deflections, so many posts are getting in the way, and last but not least, the flower has wilted. It was a crazy run, but the clock is two minutes away from midnight on this bunch.

Love Sheng's game breakdowns accompanied by video. I miss when he blogged for the Kings. So glad he doesn't simply post a bunch of statistics, and comically try to explain why one team is winning or losing based on luck.

Hate to say it but while I am still rooting for them and I don't think they go down tonight, I don't think they will rally and win the whole thing. Washington has become the team that finally has managed to figure them out. As said above that invincible magic is gone. Too much not going well and not going right, and Flower unable to single handedly stem the tide.

Still one hell of a season for the Knights regardless of how it all goes.
